Hey! Stupid!

Yeah, YOU.  American voter.  Now hear this.  The debate on health care reform is over.  I’m the President and I’ve got these folks in lab coats standing here with me, so that settles that.

Besides, if we don’t get the bill I want, everyone with cancer, heart trouble, renal failure, psoriasis, acid reflux, acne and lazy eye will die.  DIE!  And they’ll die tomorrow!

Furthermore, even though I’ve railed against a simple majority “up or down” vote before, THIS time, we’re gonna push this through with just such a vote.

Hey! I’m the President and I’ve got these folks in lab coats standing here with me, so that settles that.

And it doesn’t matter that you, the stupid American voter doesn’t want what I’m pushing.  As for those evil, partisan Republicans – why, they’re just playing politics.  They WANT you to die – tomorrow.  Why, they would have you die TODAY if they could arrange it.  But not me.  No one is gonna die during my administration because I’m gonna have this health care reform.  If anyone DOES die, well, we know who would be to blame, wouldn’t we?  My predecessor.

After all, I’m the President and I’ve got these folks in lab coats standing here with me, so that settles that.

And I don’t care what the polls say about the upcoming election or that so many Democrats won’t run for re-election.  Who needs ’em?  We’re gonna do what I want without regard for half of the Congress or 80% of you stupid American voters.

Now that I’ve shown you all how tough I can be, I’m gonna get a beer and a cigarette.

And don’t forget, I’m the President and I’ve got these folks in lab coats standing here with me, so that settles that.

  1. The mainstream media today is largely a lap dog for the current Administration, so hard scrutiny of policy is mostly shelved. Members of Congress propose massive legislative changes that will affect your lives, but they do not read them, nor will they subject themselves to the regulatory regimes they seek to impose. And we are left marveling at the basic lack of inquisitiveness of those in the press whose job it is to tell us what really goes on in government.

This more of the elitism of the current administration and Congress. Unfortunately too many are willing to have the government provide for them from the cradle to the grave and it will be an early grave once politburo care becomes a reality.

  3. If they shove this health care down our throats it will be nothing short of a declaration of war on US citizens. The gloves must come off at that point and they deserve whatever comes to them.
