DeMint: Stand With Nikki Haley

Stand With Nikki Haley
Senator Jim DeMint
Friday, October 29th at 12:19PM EDT

Friends, in just a few days we have the chance to be a part of a national earthquake election to help save our country from fiscal disaster. On Tuesday, we have the opportunity to elect principled conservatives that will be part of the next generation of American leaders. I’ve been proud to support conservative candidates around the nation and in my home state that will fight for limited government, strong national security and traditional values.

For folks in South Carolina, please don’t take anything for granted this Tuesday. We need your vote and your help to encourage others to come out to vote for our inspiring slate of U.S. House candidates Tim Scott, Joe Wilson, Mick Mulvaney, Trey Gowdy, Jeff Duncan, and Jim Pratt.

And most importantly for our state, I encourage you to stand with Nikki Haley this Tuesday and vote for her to be our next governor of South Carolina. Nikki is a commonsense conservative leader that will help move our state forward. Nikki will be a strong governor that will stand up to Washington’s attempts of overreach into issues that should be handled at the state and local level. She will fight to cut wasteful spending and reduce taxes to encourage job growth and a strong state economy.

I’m proud to support Nikki Haley and all of our conservative candidates this Tuesday, and I hope you’ll stand with me.

Let’s make November 2nd the biggest Tea Party of the year.

  1. Jim had been working so hard for Reps and Senators nationally. I was afraid he had abandoned Nikki and other SC candidates. I had written him to ask that he come forward in public support and quash this attack by these TIP people. He was with Newt Gingrich Thursday night in Greenville and urged support of all Republican candidates. Then, on Saturday I saw he was at some of Nikki’s upstate stops in full support of her. I hope it was not too little too late. I really do not think what he did late will make the difference on Tuesday, but I was glad he finally showed his support. I think Nikki was going to win anyway, because the people of SC know what is going on in Columbia and around the state and they want the change Nikki Haley has inspired us to support. I too urge all Republicans to vote for Nikki and all of the Conservative Republicans on the ballot. It’s time we send messages to our leaders who work for us. They get paid with our tax dollars. They need to listen to us and quit governing as if the state and the offices they hold belong to them. Again, I say, go Nikki Haley and the Conservative movement!

  2. News articles have reported that Senator DeMint has given $350,000 out of his own campaign funds to support the SCGOP’s Victory efforts – which benefit the entire GOP ticket including Rep. Haley. Public disclosures also show he has given max-out contributions to Rep. Haley’s campaign, other statewide and SC Congressional candidates and each of the SC county GOP’s. He has also stumped on multiple occassions for SC candidates througout the fall. Anyone who suggests Senator DeMint has neglected our SC Republican ticket hasn’t been paying attention. His work and generosity across the country – AND IN SC – will make an enormous difference on Nov. 2 for the conservative cause. God bless America!

  3. Conservatives desperately need to give Nikki their full support. We are finally poised to beat Rep. Spratt in the 5th CD. Next year the legislature will reGerrymander all the district lines. We will also get a new CD in SC based on population growth. With Nikki as Governor and a more conservative Republican majority in the General Assembly, we can have 6 Republicans and Jim Clyburn. (Federal law says we must create one district full of folks who look like him.)

If lawyer Shaheen is Governor, he will veto the GOP reGerrymander plan and the decision will then go to a 3 judge pannel of the federal court and we will end up with 3 or more Democrat congressional districts.

All the crybaby “Republicans” who were for Gresham Barrett the first two times around need to understand; they got beat by a girl! Get over it and move on. Unless you are a left winger, or a nutcase, it is clear suicide not to elect the nominee of the GOP; and, yes, for the record, I have supported Nikki since the day Larry Grooms dropped out of the race.
